As we step into 2025, Iâve decided this year is all about one thing: joy⌠or rather, the pursuit of it. Not the big, flashy moments (although I wouldnât say no to a jackpot win ⌠big or small Universe, Iâll take it!), but the kind of joy thatâs warm, steady, and groundingâlike sunshine.
“Sunshine” is one of my two words for the year, inspired by a simple but profound quote: “If I do anything today, may I be human sunshine for someone.” That sentiment hit me in all the best ways. Itâs a reminder that we all have the power to be light for others, even on our darkest days. And it is something I will aim for ⌠even when I am hangry, or pmsâing, or jacked up on hormones (that one ⌠may be a bit harder to be human sunshine).
The other word guiding me is “Heal.” Healing isnât always pretty or linear, but itâs necessary. Whether itâs healing old wounds, strengthening my marriage, or reconnecting with myself, itâs all part of this yearâs journey.
Brody worked on New Years, so I spent it with two of my good friends, and they were doing a 2025 Bingo Card! To make this pursuit of joy more tangible, my 2025 Bingo Card is filled with goals that embody sunshine, healing, and, of course, joy.

Here are a few highlights:
1. Circle Wellness
This year, Iâm prioritizing my well-beingâmind, body, and soul. Circle Wellness feels like the perfect space to do that. Itâs not just about self-care but also about connection. When Brody and I did this last year, we were both in total awe and said, âwe need to make this a priority!â ⌠so â that was my #1 on my list!
2. An Oregon Road Trip with the Hubs
After a challenging year, Iâm all about the simple joy of Brodyâs hand on my leg, blasting road trip playlists, all the snacks and drinks, and getting lost in conversation (and maybe the occasional wrong turn). This trip will be about adventure, reconnection, and finding beauty in the small things. (AND, hopefully a trip to the Nike store).
3. Scatter Kindness Event
If you know me, you know I love these events. Thereâs something magical about scattering kindness like confettiâreminding people theyâre enough, just as they are. Itâs my little way of being sunshine in someoneâs day. The last one I did was in 2022, and I feel like itâs time I get some cards to the printers, organize a small event with like-minded people and spread love!
4. IVF Journey
This is a big one. Itâs a step that holds so much hope and vulnerability, but itâs also a journey of healing and possibility. With how my body has been working (or not working), I hesitated to put this one on my Bingo Card, but ⌠I am giving myself grace, to make a change to that one square if things change with my health, which Iâll know in a few months.
5. Finish a Few Books
I got Mel Robbins âLet Themâ Book for Christmas, and I am a few chapters in already, so I know this is one square I will be able to check off! I have a few others books I want to make sure to read, BUT I also want to start a book club ⌠so who knows! I usually read 10+ books a year, and hopefully I can keep that up. I make my coffee, light my candles, turn the fireplace on, put on guitar or piano music, and read for minimum 15 minutes.
This bingo card isnât about ticking off accomplishments. Itâs about creating moments that matterâwhether thatâs finding peace within, laughing with friends and family, or brightening someone elseâs day. Itâs a reminder that joy is intentional, built through small acts of love, connection, and growth.
So hereâs to 2025, to the pursuit of joy, and to making this year one of healing, adventure, and everything in between.
